WOW! just what i'm looking for. Great for cleaning up flash on pewter castings!!
What is the difference between the two-sided filter? When would I need either the charcoal or poly side?
There are 3 types of filters for the MAFH25Filter Hood. They each have a different MERV rating. The highest MERV rating is 15. The polyester filter has a rating of 8 MERV which traps larger particulates 70% - 85% 3.0 - 10 microns. It is great for buffing or as a pre-filter in front of one of the other types to extend their life. The second filter is the polyester/charcoal filter with a MERV rating of 13. It catches 90% particulates 3.0 - 10 microns and 75% of particulates 0.3 - 1.0 microns. It is a great filter used alone or with one of the other filters as a pre-filter. The third type of filter is the pleated filter with a MERV rating of 14. It catches 95% particulates 3.0 - 10 microns and 85% of particulates 0.3 - 1.0 microns. Thank you for reaching out to us! Let us know if you have any other questions. Call us at 800-272-2885 or email us at: customerservice@blackstoneind.com for help.
🧩 thanks ' ,... Foot pedal comes in real handy
These work nice for woodworking making dovetails ?
Yes! Thank you for inquiring!
What if your shaft gets hot?
Thanks for reaching out. Shafting gets hot from bending it too tightly or not lubricating it every 50 hours of use. Please do not apply too much grease either. See videos on shaft lubrication on our channel. Have a great day!

Hello, Any videos on changing the collet on the 1040K?
We do not have a video yet on replacing the K.1040 collet. We will put it on our video "To Do" list. Thanks so much!
Thank you good sir.
Shouldn't adjusting the length of the flexible shaft jacket be done by putting on the handtool? first maximally pull out the shaft ,then carefully insert the tool until it clicks - as a result, the flexible shaft will move exactly to the length of the connecting cut in the handtool
washing solvent must totally match the lubricating type we are using how can I detect of find some info about the original and cheap china lubricants sold as FOREDOM originals? what widely used lubricants can I buy in any car shop and use with the flexible shafts?
The handpiece attaches to the sheath not the shaft. The proper way to adjust the shaft and sheath is to slide the inner shaft coupling up completely on the motor shaft and tighten the set screw on the shaft flat. Then thread on the motor connector all the way, snugly. Next, insert the key tip end into the plain end of the sheath and slide the sheath up over the shaft. This is after the shaft has been lubricated with our shaft grease MS10006 which is a high-temperature lithium grease. Insert the plain end of the sheath into the motor connector until only 3/4" of the shaft tip extends out the bottom. Tighten the motor connector set screw. The handpiece catch ball and C spring clip snaps on into the grooved end of the sheath. Then run the unit with no handpiece attached at high speed for 15 to 20 minutes with the shafting hanging down so that the grease is redistributed and any excess comes out the bottom. Wipe off the excess grease and attach the handpiece. Always hang the handpiece up or remove it when done so grease does not migrate into the handpiece which will make it run hot.
Do you have one that will hold a couple hundred rounds of brass?

Yes... Melissa is awesome!
are there any attachments that are suitable for shaping gravers like a bench grinder?
Gravers require specific exacting angles and must be very sharp. Most manufacturers have special jigs to hold the graver at those angle when being sharpened. Unfortunately, Foredom does not have any longer such a tool. The bench lathe has many tool options which could sharpen other tools but there is no special jig that can be calibrated to specific angle and hold the graver while being sharpened. If the user does not care about these angles and just wants to hone down a graver or tool by hand then, yes, there are accessories. Please call 800-272-2885 or email Mike Zagielski at: customerservice@blackstoneind.com Thank you.
@@ForedomElectricCo I am only asking about shaping a new graver to give it a spine, not sharpening it. Usually would be a bench grinder job. What accessories would I use for grinding down steel?
You can use our A-10074 Ceramcut Blue 120 grit grinding wheel on our A-WM-6 wheel mandrel. See links below: foredom.pulse.ly/u1nmb4pddi foredom.pulse.ly/eqdnftahtr
Hi 👋 I'm thinking about buying this and wondering is it good for carving and polishing crystals?
Our bench lathe is not a wet carving machine as it stands. However one of our dealer Diamond Pacific Lapidary Supply makes it into a wet carver. Thank you, Mike Z.
Those are neat. How much do they cost????
Thank you so much for reaching out to us about our HRT series. A lot of information is on edgefinisher.pulse.ly/ox3qxcoymqPlease call 800-272-2885 and ask for Mike Milici for prices or email us at: customerservice@blackstoneind.com. Have a great day!
Good job.
When did the H.15 add an oiling hole near the front? I read in my 'S' Manual that it needed to be taken apart every 100 hours or so and lubricated. I don't think mine is a fake, I bought it from a retired craftsman, he said it's 25-30 years old. He also said it might be a earlier hammer handpiece. Showed a pic with a #14 handpiece which looks very similar.
Hello, Can you take a picture and send it to Mike Z here at Foredom? mzagielski@blackstoneind.com He is the expert and can help you identify. Thank you!
For the 1050 Micromotor is possible to use for dentistry ,or it is strong ?
›The K.1050 micro motor is perfect for dental laboratory tasks, but not on people. (There is not a tool made by Foredom or Handler that can be used directly on people.) Thank you for reaching out!
Thankyou!
Do you have a video of fully taking apart an H.18 and putting it back together? Something is wrong with mine.
We're so sorry, but we do not have a video on repairing the H.18 or H.18D. Please call customer service and ask for Mike Zegelski at 800-272-2885 if you need help with servicing your H.18. Thank you for contacting us.

Hello! How does the torque compare vs foredom lx for the hammer handpiece?
Well first of all they are two very different hammer handpieces and two different motors that power them. The LX motor has 30 oz.-in. of torque at its designated rating of 0.11 horsepower at peak efficiency at 3,742 rpm under load. It runs the H.15 hammer handpiece. The K.1050 micro motor brushless rotary handpiece is rated at 10 oz.-in torque. Torque is a measure of rotary force we have no measurements of stroke impact for our hammer handpieces. However I feel that the H.MH110 micro motor hammer handpiece has as much if not slightly more power as a hammer handpiece.
Hi, I used my for cut jump rings . I decided to change the blade, put new one. Everything on order, motor working, blade spinning, not wobbling , but it’s not cutting anymore, or cut 1-3 rings on coil , even smoke from blade coming out because I try to force little bit . It’s very frustrating, it’s almost new and cut perfectly before. Do you have any suggestions for me? Thank you. Olga
There could be a number of issues. First is the blade on correctly to cut in the forward direction? What would happen if the put the old blade back on? Is the motor in the forward direction? You should call me, Mike Zegelski 800-272-2885
hey im new to foredom and i only know them because of Chat-GPT,, that being said you should re make this video,,,, its super old and will not attract new people to buy your tools. im a 1990 baby, and even i dont like this old VHS recorded video, its crap and off putting to new customers... your presents on amazon is also not very good,.... i can you have fantastic products, and i know you have a very neich market of buyers,,, but as a maker! ive seen 4 or 5 of your other products that iam going to buy in the near future,,,, but it wasnt easy to find you as a tool maker/ manufacturer of pricision tools,,,, plz send this damn message to who ever the old bastard is running advertising and CC this shit to the CEO!!!!!
Thank you.
Please be careful and pull your hair all the way back. When I was younger I had really long hair and one day I didn’t have all of it pulled back. My hair got caught in a drill and it ripped out a large chunk and jammed up the drill. Still not sure how it managed to catch my hair. I had to take a bandana and tie it around my head to keep the blood out of my eyes. Then I had to take the drill apart just so I could finish the job. My coworkers called me Baldy until the hair grew back.
Thanks for the comment on safety!
What would be really nice is to shoot your videos in focus!
Is there someone who can answer this question? My motor makes a noise but stops spinning in the flex shaft. I've changed out the springs in the motor and re-lubed the shaft. What else should I try?
This problem could be a couple of things. Did you blow out the motor while you had the motor brushes (spring things) removed? What model motor is it and what is the serial number? It could be in the speed control. What model is it? You can call me at the customer service line at: 800-272-2885 and ask for me...Mike Z for more help.
thanks I'll look all that up and give you a call@@ForedomElectricCo
Hi bought a slightly used Foredom SR, motor looks new. Flex shaft looks in good shape and had a foot control that looks almost new. Question, This is a 44t handpiece and it goes on easily (too easily) will come off real easy. Doesnt seem to lock! That little clip and ball bearing is in place.
The H.44T handpiece can be fixed by twisting off the black C clip catch spring that holds the catch ball on at the bottom of the handpiece and gently squeezing it a little to reduce the gap opening just a little. This will make it hold the catch ball tighter into the sheath groove. Just be careful not to loose the catch ball while doing this. If you need more help, call customer service at 800-272-2885. - Mike Z
thank you for the info it was very helpful for me in choosing what i need , awesome.
Thank You for the exact information I needed!!! Salute !!!
I have this foredom, can I use the H.15.D handpiece with it?
Yes, you can use the H.15 hammer handpiece with our SR motor. However, you must not go faster than 1/4 speed or about 5,000rpm. Use the foot pedal like you are driving in a school zone.
I am wondering if the handpiece is any lighter than the quick change. I am beginning to have issues with my hand cramping and getting spasms and am curious if the micromotor might be a better option.
Hello! Thank you for reaching out to us. The micro motor handpieces with the exception of the K.1030 handpiece H.MH-130 are all heavier than the flexible shaft handpieces. However, the micro motor handpieces are not much heavier and due to the handpiece cord set are much more maneuverable and easier to position and hold. Hope that helps!
Ok, I just got one of these and I didn't realise when you put it together you can just give it a little rev and push it in, I was being very careful to line up the keyway and the shaft.
Glad this video helped!
Thanks Mike for the helpful video. Easy to follow and resolved my problem!
Hi, my H50 hand piece isn't working. The shaft is running but the handpiece isn't working. Other handpieces work fine.
Thank you so much for reaching out to us! Please call 800-272-2885 or email us at: customerservice@blackstoneind.com for help.
One thing lacking: we need info on how to COMPLETELY disassemble micro motor handpiece. My very first K1070 was made inoperative when I tried to change collets, dropped the back on the table and neither I nor any of 3 instructors could sucessfyreassemble the handpiece. Also, I have had the handpiece lock up while changing burrs. As I reached for the new but, the machine popped closed and there was no way to reopen it. Troubleshooting is a must-know unless you have many hand pieces so you can work while the other half areenroute to Foredom. Thannks
Please read and follow the owner's manual precisely for changing collets. You can also go to our Resources area on the website and check out the owner's manuals and part diagrams and videos. We always recommend to customers that they should get the handpiece with a 1/8" collet installed and use collet adapters so they do not have to change collets or open up the handpiece. However, there are many users that only use 2.35, (3/32") shank burs so they can disregard my advise. Yoy should always have a shank in the collet and NEVER close the collet without a shank in it. Thank you, Mike Z.
thank you so much! <3
Молодец!!!!!
The audio is just painful.
At least Mike didn't use a heavily serrated steel pliers to grab the soft aluminum end of a handpiece again in this video. I still wake up in the middle of the night screaming sometimes because I've been dreaming of the Foredom video when he did that. Maybe Foredom took those pliers away from him. I hope so.
Brilliant video
Thank you!
Молодец!!!!!!
